DISCLAIMER (Not really): To all potential employers, professionals, or think-they-be Gods…
I am in no way attempting to present myself in a solely “professional” manner (if your perspective of a professional is strictly linear). I am an artist. No apologies, no discontent. I have no compunctions about who and what I am. I am a humorist who never desires a job in stand up; I’m better impromptu, both in text and verbal ability. If my wit, sarcasm, and/or any other tactics of my own humor appear in any way offensive to you, I apologize for your discontent within yourself and I advise you to seek help, for the cup is always both full and empty… 2 halves always equals a hole.
The point: If you like my abilities, but not my personalities, I probably WOULDN ’T want to work for you anyway.
Have a nice Life.
Oh, and By the way...
You can laugh now.
(smile... wink)

I think Langston Hughes said it better in "The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain," written for the Nation in 1926. It reads:
"We younger AFRICAN artists who create now intend to express our individual dark-skinned selves without fear or shame. If any OTHER people are pleased we are glad. If they are not, it doesn't matter. We know we are beautiful. And ugly too... . We stand on top of the mountain, free within ourselves."

Communications 324: Desktop Publishing & Web Design
This “class” was a 1 week CRASH! course through UVI
(I don't know WHAT they were thinking!)
But anyway… enjoy!
The construction of this site fulfils one of the major requirements for successfully completing my COM 324 Web Design course at the University of the Virgin Islands.
"The purpose of this site is to create an online portfolio of what I have learned in the COM 324 Desktop Publishing/Web Design course, which can be used both to
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The course has re-introduced me to hypertext design theories as well as basic principles of web design.
Upon successful completion of this course I will have a working knowledge of HTML, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Adobe Photoshop CS, Microsoft PowerPoint and (time permitting) Macromedia Flash.
My theories/ideas of good visual design consist of some degree of layout consistency, clean graphics, easily readable fonts, and balance between simplicity and creativity. I have made an effort to implement those ideas throughout my website in attempts to creating a somewhat professional-looking, yet highly artistic presentation.
I chose to create a general page style which, although I use two sets of colors, still maintains a portrayal of consistency throughout the site. I created my own graphics using Adobe Photoshop to manipulate my own digital photography and hand drawn illustrations. I also tested both the font choices and flash animations to attempt to ensure that my creative side was not getting away with from myself.
Please drop me a line or two at my blog site(s) to let me know what you thought.

Career Aspirations
My Life has spoken many things to me from when I was at a very young age (memories of before kindergarten). Some I actually have listened to.
See my bio
Among many things, I am going to run my own graphic design business. See an article about me from a Spring story in the 2003 UVIsion Newspaper.
